From mountain to jar
How your Shilajit is made
Real footage from our own process. No stock clips.
Origin
From the rock of Gilgit-Baltistan
Shilajit forms over centuries in high mountain rock as plant matter slowly breaks down. Ours is collected by hand in the warmer months, when the resin softens and seeps from the rock, then purified with water and patience rather than chemicals.
Real Shilajit smells earthy, tastes bitter and softens in warm hands. Our guide to authentic vs fake Shilajit shows how to check.
How to use
Three simple steps
Takes less than a minute a day.
Measure
Use the spoon to take a pea-sized amount, around 300–500 mg. Start small, then build up to 500 mg.
Dissolve
Stir into lukewarm water, milk, tea or juice. The taste is naturally bitter, so a little honey helps.
Drink
Once a day. Most people prefer the morning, but the best time is the one you will stick to.
Please don't exceed the recommended amount. More detail in our Shilajit usage guide.

Questions
Frequently asked questions
Is Shilajit only for men?
No. Shilajit is taken by both men and women. We don't recommend it for anyone under 18, or during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
How much Shilajit per day?
A pea-sized amount of resin, around 300 to 500 mg, once a day, dissolved in warm water or milk. Start at the lower end and build up.
When is the best time to take Shilajit?
Most people take it in the morning, often on an empty stomach. Others prefer the evening in warm milk. Pick a time you can stick to, because taking it every day matters more than the exact time.
Can you take Shilajit at night?
Yes. Some people prefer it in the evening, dissolved in lukewarm milk. If it makes you feel too alert at night, move it to the morning.
How long does it take for Shilajit to work?
Shilajit is a daily supplement, not a quick fix. Most people take it for four to eight weeks before judging how it works for them, and everyone's experience is different.
Who should not take Shilajit?
Anyone pregnant, breastfeeding or under 18. If you have a health condition or take prescribed medication, speak to your doctor first. See the full list in who should not take Shilajit.
Is Minerals Pitch Shilajit Halal?
Yes. It is Halal certified by AL-WAIZ Certification & Training Services (Pvt.) Ltd. You can view the certificate above.
Does Shilajit expire?
Pure resin keeps for years if it stays dry. Keep the lid closed, store it somewhere cool and dry, and never use a wet spoon. Products with added ingredients, such as gummies, have a much shorter shelf life.
